This curriculum is an ideal way to get a broad understanding of what the tactics, techniques and concepts of Krav Maga are. The different units below show a progression in knowledge, but they are not in any specific order of importance or tactical relevance. Think of them as toolbox with 5 shelves. There is always a perfect tool for the job, but you can also use the same tool for several different problems. Not always perfect, but it gets the job done. One thing that I’ve observed as a martial artist, is that the more you know and understand. The less tools you need, but you’ll learn all of these techniques and then you start to get more efficient over time. There is no substitute for training. So having this information written down but not practising them is like not knowing them 🙂
